Ryan Hall uses BJJ for Self Defense?

Here is a viral video that has gone out and there are tons of comments on how Ryan Hall who is an accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu champion uses his skill for street self defense. In my opinion, I am interested to see what people think if they review this video in a different perspective. Was this “self defense”? Is this self defense taught in BJJ schools?
