Earlier Today…or well Yesterday if you are reading this from Southeast Asia, Kem Sitsongpeenong fought and won his way to the Izuzu Tournament title. Kem’s opponent, Nopparat Keatkhamtorn simply had no answer for Kem as he was repeatedly kept at bay with well-timed teep kicks, thus giving Kem the opportunity of landing punishing body kicks. Kem’s hands also played a factor in the win as he repeatedly threw a lead left hook and low kick combination that consistently found the target. In the 3rd round Kem began opening up with elbows. Halfway through the 3rd Round, Kem landed a beautiful left jabbing elbow that ended the night for Nopparat.
As was announced previously, the winner of the Isuzu tournament would receive a spot on the next installment of the popular Thai Fight tournament. In addition to a spot in the tournament, Kem Sitsongpeenong earned himself a fight purse of 1 million baht, which is just shy of $33,000 US dollars.
Check out the video of the fight below. The Tournament Final was held at Omnoi Stadium in Bangkok.
