The kid question is vital to your business – they’re the future, of course. We know many MMA gyms are mastering the art of training the youngest children – ages five to 12. But getting through to the teenagers, that’s a different issue.
Question:
What’s the best thing you have done to attract kids – mainly teenagers – to the gym? What do you dot o keep kids wanting to come back?
Answer: In order to attract teenagers, you need teenagers to be a part of the brand of your facility. If your ads show just 8 years olds, you will more than likely attract birthday parties and 8 year olds.
Your marketing materials and a strong presence on social media networks will create a :cool” factor that teens gravitate toward. Your gym needs to be “the place to be”. Just as teens may find themselves at the mall, they will hope to be seen at your center. Provide a place that is respected, open to all, but like high school, where status is king. Then nurture those in your community and create popularity through performance and dedication. Testimonials should be showcased via social media with a cross-section of those you help – the unassuming quiet ones, females of all sizes, to the jock type males who will give credit to the school for their success.
